Road safety and road traffic offences
Issued 14 October 2026
• A number of speed enforcement operations have been carried out across Weedon, Charwelton, Staverton, Kilsby, Daventry Maidwell, Great Oxendon and Overstone over the last six months which have resulted in a number of speeding tickets being issued, as well as words of advice and warning letters being issued.
• These operations also provided a good opportunity for our Police Liaison Representatives (PLRs) to join us and get involved.
• In addition to speed enforcement, there has been a focus on other driving offences such as license offences, e-scooters and e-bikes and vehicle recovery for anything discovered to be illegally on the roads.

Drug dealing and drug misuse
Issued 14 October 2026
• Over this period, our focus on drug dealing and drug misuse has seen us conduct warrants under the Misuse of Drugs Act as well as locating and dismantling cannabis factories.
• Alongside this, our officers have routinely used their stop search powers where appropriate to try and disrupt local drug use and gather intelligence towards identifying where these drugs are coming from.

Rural crime
Issued 14 October 2026
• Our force wide Rural Crime Team (RCT) has seen some fantastic results across the county and continue to focus their attention on our most rural communities, including those across the Daventry area.
• This focus will continue going forward and our local officers are always on the lookout for opportunities to combine their skills, knowledge, and local expertise to work in conjunction with the RCT.

The new priorities for this period (October 2026 to March 2027) remain the same:
• Rural crime
• Road safety and road traffic offences
• Drug dealing and drug misuse
Issued 25 September 2026
Our priorities are set for a six month period and reviewed every three months to ensure we continue to deal with what matters most to local people, taking account of feedback shared in our local priorities survey and local crime data.
