Would you like to be involved in investigating crimes but don’t want to be a police officer?
Would you like to help and support victims and witnesses of crimes?
If so, we want to hear from you.
We’re recruiting a new team of Police Staff Investigators, to help our response teams manage the crimes they’re responsible for investigating.
The successful candidates will help to prepare and write statements and provide clerical support to investigating officers, including updating the crime recording systems and completing forensic submissions.
They will also review investigation materials, assist in interviews, conduct CCTV and witness enquiries, seize and store exhibits for trial and assist in the preparation of files for court.
Part of the role will also see the investigators work closely with other police forces, agencies and support colleagues in interviews.
The recruitment window for Police Staff Investigators is now closed.
