We regularly seek transferees to join our ranks because we value the unique experience and skills they bring from their lives and careers. As a county force, we believe in growing people’s skills in an environment that allows you to specialise in different areas and have the autonomy to make decisions, lead others and be part of new and innovative ways of working. We offer an exciting range of career paths and specialisms, with great promotion opportunities.
Here, you will find breath-taking countryside and the usual rural crime which it brings, contrasted with vibrant urban towns dealing with metropolitan issues. Geographically, the county is conveniently situated for commuting easily with direct rail links to London and Birmingham, and surrounded by other major towns and cities.
We’re looking for trained officers from other Home Office forces who have passed their probationary period and are substantive in rank, with outstanding communication skills, and a genuine passion for protecting our communities.

We have a strong commitment to diversity, equality and inclusion, striving to employ a workforce that reflects the diverse communities we serve.
For these reasons we actively encourage individuals from any background to consider applying. We are currently seeking better representation from minority groups and females.
