Our priorities are set for a six month period and reviewed every three months to ensure we continue to deal with what matters most to local people, taking account of feedback shared in our local priorities survey and local crime data.

Here's an update on our work to tackle local priorities from April to June 2026:
Road safety and road traffic offences
• As part of Operation Pitlane, the policing operation for the Formula 1 Grand Prix at Silverstone, neighbourhood officers actively patrolled around the circuit and surrounding villages.
• Working alongside our council and education partners across the area, we have continued patrols outside local schools in response to parking issues.
• Following complaints from residents in Cosgrove and Grange Park, we continue to work with the community to enforce safe parking and reduce obstructions.
• In May, we attended Campion School to deliver a road safety event aimed at sixth-form students who are learning to drive, educating them about the dangers of drink and drug driving and how to stay safe on the roads.
• We continue to work alongside the Safer Roads Team and the community in Nether Heyford to address concerns regarding vehicles driving through the village without adhering to road signs.
• Working alongside the Community Speedwatch team in April, we carried out speed enforcement activity in Towcester, resulting in a warning letter being sent to a driver in Buckingham Way.
Rural crime
• In May, we carried out multiple bike marking and crime prevention events across Towcester, Bugbrooke, Nether Heyford and other rural villages. So far, more than 35 bikes have been marked.
• In April, we carried out high visibility patrols across the Castle Ashby area during a busy weekend.
Drug dealing and drug misuse
• The neighbourhood policing team executed two warrants relating to drug offences in Brackley. Investigations remain ongoing.
