Targeted hotspot police patrols across Northamptonshire town centres have contributed to reductions in violent crime, shoplifting and anti-social behaviour over the past year.
Do you recognise this man? Police officers investigating an assault in High Street, Daventry, are appealing for help to identify him.
Residents across Northamptonshire are again being given the opportunity to put their questions on crime and policing to Chief Constable Ivan Balhatchet and Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Danielle Stone at an online public meeting later this month.
The family of Stuart Townsend from Daventry have paid tribute to the 43-year-old following his tragic death in a road traffic collision on the A45 Flore Bypass.
The new priorities for this period (April 2026 to September 2026) are:
• Rural crime
• Road safety and road traffic offences
• Drug dealing and drug misuse
Issued 26 March 2026
Our priorities are set for a six month period and reviewed every three months to ensure we continue to deal with what matters most to local people, taking account of feedback shared in our local priorities survey and local crime data.
