Operation Crooked is tackling residential burglary across Northamptonshire.
As part of the campaign, Northamptonshire Police has a force burglary team working with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), consisting of nine officers supported by intelligence, forensic and proactive resources.
The team will be working to review and drive up the quality of investigations, manage and progress forensic hits and investigate significant series offences.
Every burglary victim in Northamptonshire is now guaranteed a visit from a police officer as part of the campaign.
As part of Operation Crooked, the force is also sharing crime prevention advice – statistics show that 25 per cent of burglaries happen via unlocked doors and windows.
Officers will also be issuing wanted appeals for known offenders they want to put behind bars for burglary offences.
