This is the message in a new police officer recruitment campaign that has launched today, Tuesday, February 3.
It seeks to actively attract people to become police officers with the aim of helping increase officer numbers, tackle policing challenges and enhance diversity.
The campaign, across Northamptonshire and surrounding counties, will be broadcast on ITV X on demand and across social and digital platforms including outdoor media.
A 50 second video on the website showcases a mix of our very own officers in a variety of roles with different ambitions and reasons for joining, but all sharing the same guiding principles to serve and protect the communities of Northamptonshire and build a positive culture within a force where everyone can thrive.
The campaign hopes to inspire and attract applicants who will work alongside the 1500 officers currently in force.
Chief Constable Ivan Balhatchet, said: “There’s no doubt that policing is an immensely challenging but uniquely rewarding career. Our ambition with this campaign is to attract people who have the vision, values, and transferable skills that will help us build a better force.
“We have so many great officers who work every day to be the difference they want to see, and we want new officers to join the ranks and help us continue our fight against crime, help bring offenders to justice and make our communities safe.
“Whether you think policing is a career for you, or if you think it isn’t, the campaign will hopefully show people that they truly can be the person that makes a positive change to the lives of others while developing themselves.”
