Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy and a 22-year-old woman following a knife attack in Northampton.
The victim, a 29-year-old man, suffered a stab wound to the chest following the attack in Monarch Road, just off Kingsthorpe Road, some time between 6.30pm and 6.45pm last night (Wednesday, February 5).
Paramedics attended the scene and the victim was rushed to hospital where he underwent emergency surgery late last night. His condition this morning is described as stable.
Armed police officers later arrested the youth at an address in Lutterworth Road and the female suspect was also detained at a property in Balfour Road.
T/Detective Inspector Colin Bowers, from Northamptonshire Police’s CID team, said: “Two people have been arrested in connection with this attack, but our investigations continued well into the evening and will carry on today.
"This was a very serious assault where the victim suffered life-threatening injuries and we are appealing for witnesses to come forward, including anyone who may have dash-cam or doorbell footage from the area at around the time of the incident. Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101, quoting incident 455 of 05/02/2025.”
