A 76-year-old man has died two months after being seriously injured in a road traffic collision in Bridge Street, Weedon.
Keith Turnidge of Weedon, sadly passed away at 6.20pm on Friday, August 11, after being airlifted to the University Hospital Coventry following the collision in Bridge Street, Weedon.
Mr Turnidge had been sitting on a bench at about 6.20pm on Thursday, June 8, when the driver of a white MINI Cooper collided with him before just avoiding colliding with a nearby house.
The driver of the car – a 49-year-old man from Weedon – was arrested at the scene of the incident on suspicion of driving whilst over the prescribed limit of alcohol and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He remains on police bail pending further enquiries.
