As part of our #MattersOfPriority week of action which focused on drug harm, Detective Chief Inspector Steve Watkins joined officers for a search at Becket's Park in Northampton last week.
During the search of the area, officers found three metal bars, two knives, drug paraphernalia and Class A drugs. Whilst a 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.
In this video, DCI Watkins explains the importance of carrying out regular searches of such popular public places to help make our communities safer by keeping weapons off our streets.
