Some of our Volunteers on Horseback recently went out and about with officers from our Rural Crime and Safer Roads Teams, helping to educate drivers and other road users on the safest way to pass horses and riders.
To keep everyone safer on our roads, pass horses at no more than 15mph and leave at least a car’s width between your vehicle and the horse.
Find out more about how to safely pass vulnerable road users, including horses and riders, cyclists and motorcyclists, on our Operation Close Pass page.
