One of Northamptonshire Police’s neighbourhood beat buses is in Rushden today (November 8) following an incident in High Street.
The incident happened last night (November 7) at about 6pm when a 15-year-old boy was stabbed. Thankfully he only sustained minor injuries and enquiries are progressing today to identify the offenders and speak to witnesses.
To reassure the local community, neighbourhood policing officers will be in the High Street area today with one of the Force’s beat buses.
Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant, Leigh Françoise Goodwin, said: “Our community in Rushden may understandably be feeling shocked after last night’s events so we’re here today to provide some community reassurance.
“If you have any concerns following the incident last night or indeed, any other concerns, please do come and speak to us. We will be in the High Street area until 4pm.”
