Man charged with assault

A man has been charged with a number of offences following an incident in Grange Park, Northampton.
Police were called to reports of a disturbance in the street of The Oaks, at 4:30pm on Sunday 2 May, where a 54-year-old man was found with a number of serious but not life- threatening injuries.
Christopher Hulland, 28, of The Oaks, Northampton, has been charged with GBH Wounding with Intent, two counts of Common Assault and Possession of a Bladed Article, in relation to the incident, and has been remanded in custody to appear at Northampton Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Tuesday 4 May.
Detectives investigating the incident are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in The Oaks area between 4:15pm and 4:30pm to contact them. Witnesses or anyone with information about this incident, can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Officers would like to reassure the local community that this was an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing risk to the public.
