A trial date has been set after a 50-year-old man appeared in court today (March 18), charged with murder.
The incident happened on the morning of Monday, February 2, when 47-year-old Helen Bird was attacked inside a property in High Street, Chelveston.
She was taken to hospital with serious injuries but sadly died on Tuesday, February 10.
James Daniel Bird, of High Street, Chelveston, appeared at Northampton Crown Court this morning charged with her murder.
A provisional trial date of August 3 was set with Bird remanded into custody ahead of his Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing at Northampton Crown Court on April 24.
