Three people appeared before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Friday, September 1, after being charged in connection with a robbery and serious assault.
The incident took place outside Costcutter in Kettering Road, Northampton, at about 1am on Thursday, August 31, when a 50-year-old man was injured during a robbery in which his mobile phone, jacket and cash were allegedly stolen.
John Philip Howard, aged 35, of Hester Street, Northampton, Neneni Msungama, aged 42, of St Giles Terrace, Northampton, and 48-year-old Jane Oakes of Colwyn Road, Northampton, were charged with robbery and Section 18 wounding.
Howard and Msungama were remanded into custody and Oakes was released on conditional bail until their next hearing at Northampton Crown Court on Monday, October 16.
Detectives investigating this incident would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault but who have not yet come forward.
