A US citizen has pleaded guilty to causing death by careless driving in connection with the death of Harry Dunn.
Anne Sacoolas, aged 45, pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey today (October 20), via videolink, to causing the 19-year-old's death by careless driving.
Harry was riding his Kawasaki motorcycle on the correct side of the B4301 near RAF Croughton, on August 27, 2019, when Sacoolas’ Volvo XC90, driven on the wrong side, collided with him.
He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford but sadly died a short time later.
Sacoolas was originally charged with causing death by dangerous driving but the Crown Prosecution Service accepted her guilty plea to causing death by careless driving.
At the end of the hearing, Judge - Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb, adjourned sentencing to the end of November 2022.
