Man, 39, charged with importation of Class A drugs

A 39-year-old man has been charged with drugs offences after Border Force officers intercepted a package at Coventry International Hub containing a large quantity of cocaine.
Isen Shema, 39, of Billing Road, Northampton, has been charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and with being concerned in the fraudulent evasion of a prohibition on the importation of a Class A drug, in connection with an incident on October 26, when Border Force officers intercepted a package containing a large quantity of cocaine.
Shema appeared at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on October 29 and was remanded into custody. He will next appear at Northampton Crown Court on December 10, 2021.
