A 21-year-old man has pleaded guilty to a burglary in Leyside Court, Northampton.
Miles Luke Connors, 21, previously of Celeborn Place, Northampton, pleaded guilty to the offence which took place in the early hours of October 22, 2021.
At about 4am, Connors climbed a garden fence to gain entry into the victim’s garden. Once inside he forced entry into a shed and stole a bicycle and crates of beer.
He will be sentenced on January 24, 2022 at Northampton Crown Court.
Lead Investigator, PC Mark Edkins from Northamptonshire Police’s Burglary Team, said: “Tackling burglary in all its forms is a real priority for us and I hope this case sends a message that we will not only go after you if you have broken into a home, but also if you break into an outbuilding.
“People like Miles Connors cannot act with impunity in this county and think that stealing from hardworking people will be tolerated. It won’t – our team will be straight onto you and you will be brought to justice.”
