A 39-year-old man has been handed an 18-month community order after an incident in which he assaulted a number of people, indecently exposed himself, and spat at a police officer.
Mark Miller, 39, of no fixed abode, was drunk when he exposed himself to a number of people in Bridge Street, Northampton, on July 24, 2020, just after 8pm.
When people challenged this behaviour, he assaulted them – punching, kicking and spitting at two men and slapping a woman around the face.
Police officers were called and in the process of arrest, Miller spat at one of them.
He was subsequently charged with a number of offences and was handed an 18-month community order as a result when the case went to court.
A five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) was also issued to him.
