The boy will appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court today, Friday, August 13. Neither defendant can be named for legal reasons due to their age.
Three people from Northampton arrested earlier this week on suspicion of assisting an offender have now been released under investigation.
The injured boy is recovering from his injuries, which are not thought to be life-changing.
