Witness appeal following serious collision in Raunds

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a serious collision involving a car and a mobility scooter in Raunds.

The collision happened at about 10.40am on Thursday, September 24, on London Road near the junction with Marshalls Road, when the driver of a white Peugeot 308 travelling southbound was involved in a collision with a black Scooterpac mobility scooter which was crossing the road at the toucan crossing.

The rider of the mobility scooter, a man in his 90s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dash-cam footage of the incident, either vehicle involved, or the moments leading up to it.
