Police officers are appealing for information following an incident of criminal damage in which a Pride banner was deliberately set on fire in Rushden.
The incident happened between 9pm on Friday, June 5, and midday on Saturday, June 6, and the local Neighbourhood Policing Team are investigating it, not only as one of criminal damage, but also as a suspected hate crime. In addition, the team are also investigating the theft of a previous banner.
Anyone with information as to the person/s responsible for the incident should call Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 26000329518. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
