Detectives investigating the serious assault of a 17-year-old boy in Corby have made three further arrests.
The incident happened in Hazel Wood, near Westcott Way, at about 4.15pm on Friday, April 11, when the boy sustained a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital but is thankfully expected to make a recovery.
Three more arrests have been made this week in connection with the incident - a 45-year-old man from Corby arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and two men, aged 75 and 37, both from Kettering, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
All three have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
A 20-year-old man from Corby arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, a 54-year-old man from Corby arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, and a 41-year-old woman from Corby arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, all still remain on bail too.
Detectives investigating the incident continue to follow numerous lines of enquiry and are still appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
