Detectives investigating the death of a man in East Haddon are treating the incident as murder.
Shortly before 5.45am yesterday, Sunday, November 24, Northamptonshire Police received an ambulance service report regarding the sudden death of a 43-year-old man.
Officers from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) began fast-track investigations to establish what had happened.
This included enquiries into a linked incident involving the victim which happened in Rosie O’Leary’s pub in Fish Street, Northampton, during the evening of Saturday, November 23.
A forensic post-mortem examination yesterday (Sunday) afternoon, was unable to ascertain a provisional cause of death, and further investigation is required.

Detective Chief Inspector Simon Barnes said: “First and foremost, our thoughts are with the victim’s family, loved ones and friends at this completely devastating time.
“Our fast-moving investigation is dedicated to answering all the necessary questions about what has led to this man’s death.
“I would ask anyone who has information, no matter how small it may seem, to share it with us as soon as you can.”
Anyone with information which could help is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101, quoting Operation Weymouth or incident number 24000699476.
