Officers investigating the robbery of a man in Northampton are appealing for three people who are believed to have witnessed the incident to get in touch.
At around 1.15am yesterday, Monday, September 11, a man was walking alone along Billington Street in Abington when he was set upon by an unknown man, who punched and kicked him to the ground before taking his phone.
A group of three people then intervened, causing the suspect to flee. The victim, a man in his 60s, suffered hand and head injuries which required hospital treatment.
These three people are urged to contact police as soon as possible, and officers also want to hear from anyone else who has information about the robbery.
