Assault in Shakespeare Road, Northampton

Police officers are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted in Shakespeare Road, Northampton.
The incident happened on Friday, January 13, just before 1am, when a man was assaulted by a group of males who hit him with a metal bar.
He was taken to hospital with serious injuries however his condition is thankfully not believed to be life-threatening.
Witnesses or anyone with any information should contact Northamptonshire Police on 101.
