Assault in Church Street, Wellingborough

Police officers are appealing for witnesses after an assault in Church Street, Wellingborough.
The incident happened on Saturday, April 16, between 2am and 2.40am, when a man punched another man several times in the face.
When the victim fell to floor, the suspect continued to kick and punch him resulting in significant facial injuries including swelling, cuts and bruises.
Witnesses or anyone with information should contact Northamptonshire Police on 101.
A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with this incident and released on police bail pending further enquiries.
