Child assaulted in Weston Favell: Witnesses sought

Police investigating an assault in which an 11-year-old boy was struck in the face by an adult are appealing for witnesses and information.
Between 3.30pm and 4pm on Tuesday, September 14, the boy was walking along Wellingborough Road, Weston Favell, close to the Trumpet pub, when an unknown man ran towards him and struck him to the right-hand side of his face, causing jaw pain and redness.
The suspect is described as a black man with a beard, around 5ft 8in, wearing a grey jumper with the hood up, black joggers, and trainers.
Anyone who saw the incident or has information about it is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
