In accordance with Regulation 36 of the Police Conduct Regulations we are required to publish the following information –
A gross misconduct disciplinary hearing will be held by Northamptonshire Police virtually next week; from Wednesday, October 7 starting at 10am to Thursday, October 8, 2026
Former Special Constable S3995 Adam Jeskins is the subject of the hearing.
It is alleged that the former officer concerned:
While on duty and driving a marked police vehicle, on October 5, 2024, drove:
On October 9, 2024, Warwickshire Police issued a Notice of Intended Prosecution in respect of an alleged offence of speeding at 10:00 on October 5, 2024 and the former officer completed that notice on the October 17, 2024. He applied for an exemption, afforded to police officers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, declaring that he had been “travelling back on the M6 motorway at 80mph as an enforcement speed in a fully marked Police Traffic Car.” That was untrue. The former officer knew it to be untrue and he relied upon it to avoid action being taken against him for a criminal offence.
The former officer’s conduct represents Gross Misconduct in that it involves breaches of the criminal law and a dishonest attempt to rely on his position as a constable to avoid responsibility. That conduct risks undermining public trust and confidence in Northamptonshire Police.
It is alleged that the former officer concerned breached the standards of professional behaviour relating to:
