Request to Northamptonshire Police
What systems does your force use to share information with other police forces or partners here in the UK? (Please list the systems, i.e. PND/PNC; If possible, additionally indicate what you use each system for).
We fully acknowledge the need to maintain operational sensitivity and are not requesting any information that would compromise security or investigative work.
Response
Having made extensive enquiries with multiple Departments such as Technical Support, Records Management and the Information Unit, we have concluded that we are unable to provide a satisfactory response to your request.
Locating shared information and the systems used to do this would rely on us having the capability to run reports against each, which would require a whole Force search. As the information is not held in an easily retrievable format, our analysts would need to manually scrutinise each system to ascertain if we had shared data with other Forces. We estimate that this incommensurate task would far exceed the appropriate cost limit of £450.
Accordingly, please accept this Refusal Notice under s12(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (The Act).
We always strive to provide the highest level of service that we can with the finite resources at our disposal. However, our Duty to offer advice and assistance to help you revise your request as outlined in s16 of The Act cannot be fulfilled due to the large suite of systems which would need to be to be manually reviewed.
