Information Sharing Agreements:
- What information sharing agreements your force currently has in place.
- The number of information sharing agreements your force currently has in place.
- The organisations or agencies these agreements are with.
- A distinction between statutory information sharing agreements and localised agreements.

Operational Databases:
- The number of separate information databases your force operates in relation to operational matters (excluding internal systems such as HR or logistical databases, clothing stores, etc.).
- A brief description of the purpose of these operational databases. To be clear, we do not require specific titles of the databases; generic descriptions will suffice - for example: "intelligence (general)", "intelligence casework", "incident (general)", "knife crime", "gangs", etc.
- We fully acknowledge the need to maintain operational sensitivity and are not requesting any information that would compromise security or investigative work.

The number of information sharing agreements (ISA's) currently in place.
- A list of the organisations or agencies with which these agreements are held.
- A distinction (where possible within the cost/time limit) between:
--> Statutory information sharing agreements (required by law), and
--> Local or discretionary agreements (entered into at force or partnership level).
If providing the full detail requested would exceed the cost/time threshold, I would be grateful if you could instead provide:
- The total number of agreements, and/or
- The categories/types of organisations (e.g. local authorities, NHS bodies, other police forces, probation services, etc.), rather than named organisations.
Please note that we separated your request(s) into multiple references as this enables us to collate our responses more coherently for audit purposes. However, I will address them collectively, as the response to be provided for each is the same.
Despite making enquiries with several departments such as the Information Sharing team, Information Unit and Records Management, we have ultimately concluded that unfortunately, we are not able to provide a satisfactory response to your requests.
Establishing Information Sharing Agreements, and all Operational databases used by Northamptonshire Police would rely on us having the capability to run reports against each, requiring a whole Force search. The same can be said when attempting to compile a list of organisations and/or categories of organisations that we have sharing agreements in place for.
As this data is not held in an easily retrievable format, we estimate that the indeterminate measure of this task would far exceed the appropriate cost limit of £450.
Accordingly, please accept this Refusal Notice under s12(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (The Act).
We always strive to provide the highest level of service that we can with the finite resources at our disposal. However, our Duty to offer advice and assistance to help you revise your request as outlined in s16 of The Act cannot be fulfilled due to the disproportionately broad scope of information which would need to be to be manually reviewed.
