Please provide the information requested for incidents recorded in the each of the periods:

• 2022–2023

Please answer questions 1–4 for all couriers and delivery drivers.

If possible, please also answer questions 5–8 for couriers/delivery drivers excluding food delivery drivers.

If you are unable to exclude food delivery drivers, please still provide the answers to questions 1-4.

1. What’s the total number of thefts and robberies reported in which the victim was a courier or delivery driver?
2. How many resulted in someone being arrested?
3. How many resulted in someone being charged?

Searched for all Crime Tree Level 2 Theft Offences and Robbery between 01/01/2022 to 16/10/2025 where the victim’s employment at time of occurrence was recorded as a delivery driver or courier.

The employment types available to select for searching within the data held by Northamptonshire Police do not differentiate between food delivery drivers and other delivery drivers and, as such, we cannot answer questions 5-8.

As your request did not specify that thefts and robberies where the victim was a delivery driver and was making a delivery when the incident occurred was required, data has been provided for all theft and robbery offences where the victim was recorded as being a courier, deliveryman or van delivery agent at the time of the theft/robbery occurrence.

As with any keyword search, the search will only return exact matches within the Incident Description or Crime MO. This does not account for differences in terminology and/or spelling used. Keyword searches are problematic and in no way provide accurate results or figures. If the selected key words have not been mentioned, the data will not be returned.

Northamptonshire Police records ‘Incidents’ from requests from members of the public requiring police assistance. These requests for assistance may be made via 101/999 or online submissions via the Northamptonshire Police website. Not all incident reports generate a crime report, and not all crime reports come from an incident report.
