Please can you supply the amounts in Northamptonshire charged for escorting abnormal loads in the 2022, 2023 and 2024 under special police services rules.
Response:
2022 £63.82 per hour per officer
2023 (September onwards) £79.68 per hour per officer 2024 (April onwards) £82.08 per hour per officer
The 2024 update also introduced costs for vehicle use and fuel:
The mileage cost should be calculated against the three distinct phases of the escort duty:
- The distance travelled from the vehicle’s base to the start of the escort;
- The total distance of the escort;
- The distance travelled from the end of the escort back to the vehicle’s
