In the last ten years, how many children have died in the care of an adult who was under the influence of a Class A drug at the time of the death?
Of this number, how many of those adults were prosecuted for neglect?
Crime searched for Stats class 004/11/04 'Cause or allow a child or vulnerable adult to suffer serious/physical harm' where the IP was under the age of 18 and stats class 011/03/01 'Assault/ill-treat/Neglect etc child/young person'. Results were filtered to show only those with a person classification of 'Deceased' (victims) and a manual review then completed to establish if Class A drugs involved.
This resulted in a nil return. Please note, information on convictions i.e. results at Court, are held by His Majesty’s Court Service.
