Request to Northamptonshire Police:
- How many reported crimes involved the Grindr app in each of the years 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024?
- Of those cases, for each of the years 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024, in how many were charges successfully brought?
- How many reported crimes have involved the Grindr app so far this year? (Please specify the months included in the available data)
Response:
Northamptonshire Police systems are designed primarily for the management of individual cases and not for the production of statistical information for Freedom Of Information responses.
Crime searched for all occurrences that include the keyword 'Grindr' for years 2019 to 2025-06 inc.
As with any keyword search, the search will only return exact matches. This does not account for differences in terminology and/or spelling used. Keyword searches are problematic and in no way provide accurate results or figures. If the selected key words have not been mentioned the data will not be returned.
