2. The number of reported road rage or aggressive driving incidents from 2020 to 2025.
3. The number of recorded driving offences from 2020 to 2025, specifically:
a. Speeding
b. Use of a mobile phone while driving
c. Dangerous driving
d. Driving without insurance
e. Careless or Inconsiderate Driving
f. Driving under the influence (alcohol or drugs)
g. Driving whilst disqualified
h. Causing Death or Injury by Dangerous Driving
i. Any other driving offences that there are
Please break down the data by year and local authority or city area if possible.
Please be advised that different departments within the force are responsible for different areas of policing and hold different information accordingly.
The only information that can be provide by Local Policing Area is Driving under the influence, dangerous driving, death/serious injury by dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified. Please submit a new request if this is required.
Incidents searched between January 2020 to date and time of report for all incidents where the incident description contain keyword ‘ROADRAGE’ or ‘ROAD RAGE’. Crimes searched for all arrests for Dangerous Driving, Death by Dangerous Driving, Driving under the influence of drink/drugs and Driving whilst Disqualified. Searched for all tickets and then filtered to provide Speeding, Use of a mobile phone whilst driving, Driving without insurance, Driving without due care and attention and without reasonable consideration to others, and all other driving offences.
As with any keyword search, the search will only return exact matches. This does not account for differences in terminology and/or spelling used. Keyword searches are problematic and in no way provide accurate results or figures. If the selected key words have not been mentioned the data will not be returned.
