Request:
- How many dogs were reported to you as stolen in 2024?
- Of those dogs stolen, how many dogs were then returned to their owners in 2024?
- What were the top three breeds stolen in 2024?

Please note, breed is not a mandatory field.
Crime searched for all occurrences in 2024 whereby keyword 'dog' was either recorded in the property sub-type or mentioned in the MO free text. Results manually reviewed to establish how many were returned to owner and dog breed if recorded.
As with any keyword search, the search will only return exact matches within the Incident Description or Crime MO. This does not account for differences in terminology and/or spelling used. Keyword searches are problematic and in no way provide accurate results or figures. If the selected key words have not been mentioned in the MO the data will not be returned.
