• What was the total estimated street worth of the cannabis seized from commercial cannabis farms in your policing authority from 2015 until 2025? (Please indicate a cut off date - eg up to and including October 2025) – Unfortunately due to data quality

• How many convictions have there been in relation to commercial cannabis farm raids in your policing authority from 2015 until 2025? (Please indicate a cut off date - eg up to and including October 2025)

Could the above three questions be presented in data that is also split up by year, and the previous function of the location (i.e. school, shop etc) ?

Response

After conducting reasonable searches, I can confirm that Northamptonshire Police holds some of the information requested.

However, we are unable to supply you with this information as it is not held in an easily retrievable format. Our analysts would be required to manually review a minimum of 1,017 records, which at even a conservative 2 minutes per file, would significantly exceed the appropriate cost limit of £450. This means that an exemption is engaged under s12(1) of the Freedom of Information Action 2000 (the Act).

In accordance with Section 17(1) of the Act, this letter represents a Refusal Notice for this particular request.

Furthermore, the Force can only attribute a monetary street value to cannabis plants if this has been provided by an expert Witness during the judicial process. For this part of your request, no information is held.

Finally, Northamptonshire Police cannot provide information on convictions - please redirect this part of your enquiry to His Majesty’s Courts and Tribunal Service.
