FOI 4874-25 Unregulated immigration advice

Request:

I am requesting information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding police investigations into unregulated immigration advice or fraudulent immigration services.

Specifically, please provide the following data for the past four financial years (2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24, up to February 2025):

1. The number of reports or complaints received related to unregulated immigration advice or fraudulent immigration services.

2. The number of investigations initiated by Northamptonshire Police related to these offences.

3. The number of arrests made in connection with unregulated immigration advice or fraudulent immigration services.

4. A breakdown of offences charged (e.g., under the Fraud Act 2006, Immigration and Asylum Act 1999).

Clarification:
By 'unregulated immigration advice' I refer to the Section 84 and 92B and all their subsections as per Part V, immigration advisers and service providers, of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999.

This may be searched by the below crime types:
078/05 – Person who provides immigration advice or services in contravention of Sec 79 (provision of immigration services) or of restraining order.

078/07 - Obtain benefits or advantage for himself or anyone else by making dishonest representations.

Response:

Searched between 2021-04 and 2025-02 for occurrences with Stats class 078/05 and 078/07 (CCJS CODE IA99005;IA99006;IA99012).
This produced a nil return.
