The recruitment window to join Northamptonshire Police as a police officer is about to close. Interested parties have until 5pm on Sunday 13 August 2017 to apply.
We are looking for people who are honest, fair, reliable and approachable to join us as police constables.
Northamptonshire is one of the smaller forces in the UK which means we have great opportunities to gain experience in a wide variety of policing areas.
Departments across the force include response, neighbourhoods, CID, cyber-crime, child protection, intelligence, major crime, roads policing, firearms and the dogs section.
Laura Pettitt, from the Human Resources Department at Northamptonshire Police, said: “We are actively recruiting people who want a future as a police officer.
“Some of our current student officers have told us they have been impressed by the amount of technology available to officers as well as the variety of training they have had to do.
“They have told us the role has helped to build their confidence and that the support they have received from the police trainers has been invaluable.”
“It is a challenging and demanding role where no two days are the same but also massively rewarding.
“We are committed to keeping people safe, and your role as a police officer would be crucial to protecting people from harm. From attending crime scenes, to taking statements and engaging with the public, you will need to be honest, reliable, determined and resilient in order to do the job.
“We have a strong commitment to equality and diversity, are an equal opportunities employer, with the aim of employing a workforce that reflects the diverse communities we serve. For these reasons we are actively encouraging BME candidates and women to apply.”
