The South Northamptonshire policing sector incorporates the two busy market towns of Brackley and Towcester, and the surrounding villages. It is a predominately rural area spread over approximately 240 square miles, and is aligned with area covered by South Northamptonshire District Council.
As the Sector Commander for the South Northamptonshire sector, I lead four Safer Community Teams (SCTs) who are dedicated to delivering visible and accessible policing to our local communities. The teams consist of Police Officers and Police Community Support Officers, who work closely with our partners from other agencies, in particular South Northamptonshire District Council and Northamptonshire County Council, to identify and resolve local issues and concerns. We are also supported by Special Constables who work with us on a voluntary basis to help with high visibility patrols and other policing issues in the area.
Our SCTs are now well established across the area and we intend to build on the positive work that has already been achieved. By continuing to work closely with our partner agencies and the community, we will give local people the opportunity to get involved and help us prioritise the issues we focus on, tackling the things that matter to most to you.
In this section, you’ll find the latest news about your area, including crime information, your locally identified priorities and details of forthcoming surgeries and meetings.
