As the Sector Commander for Kettering, I lead five Safer Community Teams (SCTs) who provide a community policing service to the 80,000 plus people living and working within the borough of Kettering.
The teams are made up of Police Officers and Police Community Support Officers, who work closely with staff from our partner agencies, such as Kettering Borough Council and Northamptonshire County Council, to identify and resolve local issues and concerns.
The teams are now well established across Kettering and the surrounding villages and are making a positive impact in their communities. Looking forward, we will continue to focus on tackling anti-social behaviour and reducing crime and fear of crime, as well as identifying and targeting the issues that matter the most to you and your neighbourhood.
To do this, we need your help to identify the issues that are affecting your quality of life in your local area. There are a number of ways you can do this, such as by coming along to one of our regular surgeries or community panel meetings, or simply have a chat to our officers when you see them out and about on patrol – please do get in touch.
In this section, you’ll find the latest news about your area, including crime information, your locally identified priorities and details of forthcoming surgeries and meetings. Click on the link to your local team, or use the postcode search facility if you’re not sure which team covers your neighbourhood, and should you wish to, please use the links provided to get in touch.
