The Corby policing sector covers an area of around 30 square miles, with a population of approx 54,000. The sector is aligned with the area covered by Corby Borough Council and incorporates the town and surrounding villages.
As the Sector Commander for Corby I manage four Safer Community Teams, lead on partnership working with Corby Borough Council and other agencies and also have a responsibility for tackling crime and disorder in Corby. Our teams consist of Police Officers, Police Community Support Officers, Special Constables and Staff from Corby Borough Councils Neighbourhood Management Teams. The teams are committed to providing a quality policing service in Corby and importantly, working together with communities to tackle locally identified problems.
To do this, we consult regularly with the local community to find out the issues that are causing the most concern in the area. We hold regular surgeries, community meetings and street briefings, and our Key Individual Networks (KIN), a network of local stakeholders and contacts, help us to keep local people up to date with how we are dealing with your concerns.
By working closely with the community and our partners, we are able to resolve some of the issues that arise such as motorcycle nuisance, parking and littering. We are committed to tackling the issues that most affect the quality of life in your neighbourhood, as well as responding to the policing issues that occur on a day-to-day basis.
In this section, you’ll find the latest news about your area, including crime information, your locally identified priorities and details of forthcoming surgeries and meetings.
