Northamptonshire Police Authority recognises that our suppliers are a resource that supports the work of the Police Authority. Without suppliers and their products or services we would not be able to function, it therefore makes sense to manage this resource.
It is the intention of this Supplier Management Guide to set out the guidelines for both Authority colleagues and suppliers to follow in an effort to understand the Authority’s requirements and that the suppliers capabilities are clearly understood in order to obtain the appropriate level of service and eliminate unnecessary costs.
Northamptonshire Police Authority requests that all suppliers read and understand and agree to work within the Supplier Management Guide while performing or supplying the Authority with goods or while providing any services.
During the life of the contract our Buyers will work closely with key suppliers to ensure good communication and effective contract management is in place. The Northamptonshire SRM Tracker has been adopted from O2 best practice and adapted to work within Northamptonshire Police Procurement department. We will actively encourage and promote the use of the SRM Tracker with our other key suppliers as a tool to aid communication and track the impact of the contract ensuring all actions are undertaken and opportunities for improvements are explored.
