WE are appealing for information about an assault in Victoria Park, Northampton, which occurred at around 6pm on the evening of Wednesday 13 June.

A 15-year-old boy was sitting in the park listening to music when he was approached from behind by two unknown youths.

One of the youths, both male, placed a piece of rope around the victim's neck, causing him to struggle for breath.

The victim panicked and punched the offender in the side, and the two youths ran off.

The victim can only state that the offender was white and was wearing a grey tracksuit and white trainers.
