Northamptonshire Police is holding an Open Day at its Headquarters in Wootton Hall on Saturday 25 September, from 11am - 3pm.
The Force is inviting residents' across the county to the family event, organised by the Operations Department of the Force’s Protective Services Command, which oversees the Dog Section, the Police Helicopter, Emergency Planning, Casualty Reduction Partnership, the Firearms Team, and the County Traveller and Wildlife Officer.
The aim of the day is to give the public a taste of the way the Force polices the county’s roads, catches criminals and responds to crimes in progress, including live demonstrations from the police dogs and firearms officers, and potentially a visit from the helicopter team.
Sean Bell, Head of Operations, said:
“This is a good opportunity to see the work our specialist staff from across the Operations department undertake on a daily basis and follows on from a previous successful event earlier in the year.”
Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet their local Safer Community Team, Road Policing Team and the Casualty Reduction Partnership, who have toured events across the county with their interactive games van.
All are welcome to this free event.
Visitors can just come along, or confirm their attendance by visiting the events calendar on the Facebook at www.facebook.com/northantspolice.
The event is at the Operations Department, in the Police Headquarters on Wootton Hall in Northampton, NN4 0JQ.
