The A14 westbound between junctions 2 and 1 was closed for around three hours early this morning following a collision between two lorries.

The collision took place at around 5.35am and resulted in one of the lorries jack knifing and a large amount of fuel being spilled onto the road.

 

Neither of the drivers are belived to be seriously injured as a result of the collision.

 

Both lorries and the fuel have now been cleared from the road and the carriageway has reopened.
