‘School a week’ scheme sees good results
Back Back   Print Print page

Since it’s launch in February 24 warning letters for illegal parking have been issued to motorists in East Hunsbury and Wootton.

Hunsbury and Nene Valley Safer Community Team is currently trialling a new ‘school a week’ scheme, as part of the locally identified priority to tackle traffic congestion and parking issues in Collingtree during school pick-up times.

The scheme will involve Police Officers and Police Community Support
Officers being visible in the area, monitoring the traffic congestion and dealing with any inconsiderate or illegal parking.

The team will be focusing on one primary school a week across the SCT, and will aim to give advice to parents on safe parking whilst they collect their children from school.
