Northampton: Public meeting next week for Spencer SCT

Spencer SCT are trying a fresh approach this year, which will hopefully result in more residents getting involved in setting local priorities for the police and partners on Spencer and Kings Heath.

A public meeting will take place from 3.15pm and 6pm on Wednesday 10 March, at Earl Spencer Primary School in Streatfield Road.

A number of agencies have been invited along to the meeting to give it broader appeal, and will be giving advice about the service they provide and answering questions from the public.

These include representatives from Women’s Aid, Victim Support, the Fire Service, and a Sports and Physical Activities Development Officer from the Borough Council.

Police Sergeant Lara Alexander-Lloyd of Spencer and St James Safer Community Team said:

“We want to tell people what we have been doing, ask them how successful they think we have been, and set new priorities for the next few months.

“We are hoping this new approach will encourage more people to join us and play a role in improving their community.”
