Police investigating a series of frauds in the north of the county are appealing for anyone who may recognise a man who is believed to have been involved a number of offences to come forward.

This man is believed to have been involved in at least two incidents in the county, one in Corby and one in Kettering.

It is also believed he may be involved in similar incidents that have take place in the West Midlands, Yorkshire and Manchester areas.

The first incident happened on Friday 5 February when the man entered a travel agents in New Post Office Square, Corby, at around 2pm, and used a fraudulent credit card and Chinese passport and purchased £500 worth of Euros.

The second incident happened at a travel agents in Station Road, Desborough, at around 12.30pm on Tuesday 9 February, when the man entered the shop with the fraudulent credit card and a different Chinese passport and purchased £650 worth of Euros.

The same credit card has also been used in similar incidents in the West Midlands, Yorkshire and Manchester.

The man is described as white, with olive coloured skin, of Chinese appearance, in his early 30s and around 5ft 6” tall. He was of slight build and has black, receding hair.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may recognise the description of this man or who may recognise him from the picture below.
